Workshop on Compliance - with students from Dortmund and Kassel - 5th joint workshop of Peter Reusch and Konrad Spang

Announcement:
The workshop will deal with core issues of compliance and will check and compare information on compliance in selected companies.
The joint workshops starts in Dortmund on the 27th of January 2011 at about 12:30. - after lunch.
Students should prepare the workshop by collecting information from the web on compliance in general and on compliance in selected companies.
Preselected companies are:
BP, Bertelsmann, BMW, Deutsche Bank, K + S, RWE, ThyssenKrupp, BASF
In the workshop teams will collect, discuss and present their research on compliance.
Each team will take one of the preselected companies as the lead organization for their reseach and a second one for a comparison.
Core perspectives of this research are:
What kind of documents of the companies were checked? - Mission statements, reports, special annual reports, news, ....
Which roots and fundamentals of compliance are mentioned? - Compliance with international conventions, local laws and our self-set standards, ... .
Which special aspects are mentioned? - Fraud, environmental protection, safety and health, ....
What kind of activities in the context of compliance are mentioned? Initiatives, projects, audits, benchmarks, ...
Which aspects seem to be most important?
Was there a contribution on project management and compliance?
What are the main differences on issues on compliance in the lead organization and a second company?
